Other Instructions:

  • When brushing, always start at the ends, working up to the root area. Always brush gently! Excessive brushing or force will break the hair
  • Laying down on furniture may cause the hair to tangle. Using a silk pillowcase helps immensely Always rinse the root area well when washing. Conditioners or shampoos left over at the root area will cause bacterial growth, which will ultimately cause the hair to break off.
  • Always use cool water. Hot or very warm water will damage the hair shaft, causing the hair to tangle or look dry.
  • When removing your wig, place it on a wig stand so hair does not get any unwanted creases in it.
  • Chlorine is not recommended. This will cause hair to tangle and become dry and brittle. Your wig must be washed and conditioned immediately after swimming.
  • When using a sauna, wrap the wig in a cold, wet towel before entering and let it air-dry when done.
  • Remove wig before sleeping.
  • Before exercising, brush hair thoroughly from the ends to the roots. Apply a “leave-in” conditioner and create a few large braids or brush the hair into a ponytail, securing with coated fasteners.
  • We highly recommend having your wig or hairpiece professionally cleaned or serviced by Mia Bella Salon and Spas. Professional upkeep is an added security to protect your investment.
  • Your wig should have a professional Keratin Treatment every 4 months to repair damage and deep condition the hair. Hair must be clean before this service can be performed, or it can be done as an added service to a wash and style.
